One of the verses I treasure is John 1:5 "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Christ is light for the world, as demonstrated through his suffering and resurrection from the dead. He is fully alive and He is the source of new life. Through the Holy Spirit, he is quietly present in the lives of those who know, love and trust Him. Thanks be to God for the glorious gift of His only Son, our Savior and Redeemer.
