Candace is a ceramic artist who draws inpiration from various places she has lived in and traveled to throughout the United States, as well as impactful experiences. She currently lives in Kearney, Nebraska, where she graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

 

As a ceramic artist, Candace focuses on basic forms and gradually creates surfaces that express movement and unexpected imagery through dramatic countours. Though she sometimes uses a traditional pottery wheel in her creative works, she prefers hand-building and creating forms that are heavily sculptural. She often combines abstract with realism- endeavoring for balance between the two throughout the majority of her compositions. Having grown up in Arizona, southwest esthetics are often influential in her three-dimentional framework.
